Fishing at Green Park

Longwater Lake is an area of Green Park that is intended to be enjoyed by not just those working on the park, but also those who have an interest in angling.

You must sign in at 100 Longwater Avenue and be in the possession of an RDAA permit. Permits can be bought online on the Reading District Angling Association (RDAA) website. The cost of the permit is as set out by the RDAA and is valid for one year. Please see the fishing club rules and RDAA rules on pages 3 & 4 of the document at the bottom of this page.

The fishing season at Green Park is from 16 June to 15 March, dependant on lake levels.

You are welcome to enjoy the lake and the fish stock that it contains and this guide has been designed to provide practical information on the lake and assist you in staying safe whilst you are at Green Park. Green Park work on a catch and release basis. The fish are the property of Green Park and should not be removed from the estate.

You will also need a Rod License which can be obtained from the Environment Agency.
