Bats

Did you know that Green Park has over 30 bat boxes up in trees around the park? These boxes provide a resting place for the six species of bat that can be found (or rather heard) at Green Park. These species are Common Pipistrelle, Soprano Pipistrelle, Nathusius Pipistrelle, Noctule, Daubenton’s and Brown Long-Eared Bats.

We partner with the Berkshire and South Bucks Bat Group and the Bat Conservation Trust to monitor the bat population on-site with regular surveys being completed. We are pleased to have seen an increase in the usage of our bat boxes over the past five years.

Occupiers have the opportunity to see bats in their natural habitat and learn a little more about them at our annual Bat Walk and Talk that takes place in September. Click here to view the full events listing.
