We’re really excited to share that Green Park has become the new home of the Cowshed’s Christmas Present Appeal. A five-year collaboration means we’re providing a lease on a gratis basis to support the charity’s vital work supporting families and individuals in need this festive season.
Since November, the dedicated space has been transformed into a Christmas grotto, where thousands of donated gifts are collected, sorted and packed by volunteers before being delivered to local families in need. The amazing charity expects to brighten up Christmas for up to 3,000 children with over 20,000 presents this year, with hundreds of local companies – including many from across Green Park – supporting the project by hosting Trees of Hope, wrapping gifts and fundraising.
Becky Russell, Operations Manager, at The Cowshed said, “Back in August, we faced the devastating news that we were losing the building that had been home to our Christmas project for three years. It was an incredibly worrying time as thousands of children rely on the gifts we provide. This space will help us bring joy, dignity and a sense of magic to those who might otherwise wake up to nothing on Christmas morning.”
