Get involved this Remembrance Day

Each year in November, The Royal British Legion holds it’s largest fundraising campaign, the Poppy Appeal.

The Royal British Legion is at the heart of a national network that supports our Armed Forces community. They provide lifelong support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their families. Every year they lead the nation in commemorating and honouring those who have served and sacrificed.

Here’s how you can get involved:

Buy a poppy
Showing your support by picking up a poppy has never been easier. Poppies are available at each of the Multi-Let Receptions from Monday 28 October to Friday 8 November. All funds raised will be donated to The Royal British Legion.

Two minutes silence
On the eleventh day of the eleventh month at 11am, you can take part in a two-minute silence to mark the end of the First World War. These two minutes are to reflect, remember and honour those who have paid the price for our freedom.

However much time you can give, there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved as a volunteer and make a difference. From directly supporting people in one of our care homes or Pop In Centres, to hitting the streets as one of our amazing poppy collectors, there are many ways you can get involved. Click here to find out more.

The Royal British Legion support those wanting to do their own thing to raise money for the cause by providing fundraising materials. Click here to enquire.
