Keen golfers can practise their swing at the Rivermead's Leaderboard Driving Range and play a round at one of the council-run courses at Downshire, Easthampstead and Hurst Golf Clubs.

For winter sports fanatics, Bracknell's John Nike Leisuresport Complex has a dry ski slope and an ice rink. This is also where the Bracknell Bees play Super League ice hockey.
If spectating is more your scene, right on GreenPark's doorstep is the superb Madejski Stadium, home to Reading Football Club and London Irish Rugby Union Club. Nearby at Reading Stadium you can catch Premier League speedway every Monday evening between March and October.
Horse racing enthusiasts are spoilt for choice with Ascot, Newbury and Windsor Racecourses all within easy reach of Reading.
