Q: Why does the GreenPark mast colour change?
A: The colour of the lettering is changed to blue for Reading Football Club home games and is set to alternate through a range (orange, red, blue, green and turquoise) on the run-up to Christmas.Q: Can I fish in the Longwater Lake?
A: This is by membership only, please contact Donna Wheeler on 0118 9450 309 for details.Q: I notice that the wind turbine blades are sometimes stationery, even on a very windy day.
A: The wind turbine is serviced by Ecotricity once a month and as part of the regime the blades are slowly rotated through 360° and stopped. Also, when the wind speed exceeds 65mph the blades are stopped as a safety precaution.Q: Why can I not access GreenPark via Small Mead gate?
A: This is a private road and there is no public access to GreenPark via this road.Q: What is the speed limit at GreenPark?
A: The whole estate is private and a speed limit of 25mph has been set based on good Health and Safety practice and the need to maintain a “peaceful” ambiance on the park and minimise environmental impact.Q: What are the opening times and who is the contact for the Wind Turbine?

A: The GreenPark wind turbine generates 3.5m units (kwh) of green electricity every year. This supplies 100% green energy straight into the local grid, to the benefit of over 1,500 homes and businesses in the area.Q: Why are there some empty buildings on the park and why are there more buildings being built?
A: The empty buildings are leased to Cisco on 20-25 year lets and it is hoped that Cisco will either occupy them soon, or sub-let them to other companies. The new builds are either already let or part of the long term build strategy for GreenPark which is supported by predicted future demand.Q: Has the lake been stocked with fish?
A: No, the lake is river fed and this is why you are only allowed to fish during the fishing period June – March.Q: Is there a cash machine on GreenPark?
A: There is a HSBC branch located at 100 Brook Drive, open between working hours of 9am – 5pmQ: What are the OY Bikes for?
A: The bikes are free to hire for registered occupiers on the park once registration is complete.Q: Where is the nearest cash point machine?
A: The nearest cash point machine for all cards is at the Reading Gate Retail Park (where B & Q is). There is also a HSBC machine which is located in the main foyer at 100 Brook DriveQ: How can I get into Reading Town Centre quickly?
A: There is a regular FastTrack bus service that goes to and from Reading Town Centre / Reading Station which runs to GreenPark every 7 - 8 minutes. There is a bus stop opposite 100 Longwater Avenue.Q: Can you give me some idea of the facilities on the Park.
